Pacific Antenna Systems Case Study
Copper Mountain Technologies’ CobaltFx frequency extension system has given Anthony Macari and the team at Pacific Antenna Systems (PAS) the ability to make accurate and stable mmWave measurements for various antenna types. PAS uses a frequency extension system from Copper Mountain Technologies. The mmWave measurement solution has proven to be a versatile tool for making precise metrology-grade measurements with repeatable results. The system’s ease of use combined with responsive customer support has allowed Anthony to simplify measurements for himself and his colleagues.
Software
The Advanced Series VNAs come with all the software features engineers have come to expect, at no additional cost. Standard software features include:
- Linear/logarithmic sweeps with multiple trace formats
- Power sweeps
- Time domain and gating conversion
- Frequency offset mode
- Fixture simulation (embedding/de-embedding)
- 16 independent channels with up to 16 traces each
- Markers with marker search tools and marker math, various conversion algorithms, and limit tests for pass/fail criteria, etc.
- Test Automation programming in LabView, Python, MATLAB, .NET, etc.
CMT’s Manufacturing Test software plug-in is available to integrate the VNA into your production test system.
