Automatic Fixture Removal

The following sections describe how to setup the various types of calibration.

Two-Port Calibration Setup

Full two-port calibration combines two one-port calibrations for each test port with measurement of transmission and reflection of a THRU standard in both directions. You can also calibrate using an automatic calibration module (ACM).

The figures below show calibration using ports 1 and 2 as an example.

Three-Port Calibration Setup

Full three-port calibration combines three full one-port calibrations for each port, and THRU connections for each test port pair, which provides three transmission measurements. One of the three THRU measurements may be omitted. You can also calibrate using an automatic calibration module (ACM).

The figures below show calibration using ports 1, 2 and 3 as an example.

Four-Port Calibration Setup

Full four-port calibration combines four full one-port calibrations for each port, and THRU connections for each test port pair, which provides six transmission measurements. Three of the six THRU measurements may be omitted. You can also calibrate using an automatic calibration module (ACM).
