SCPI Command
SYSTem:FIFO:SWEep:WAIT <count>,<timeout>
Waits for the number of sweeps specified in the first parameter to accumulate in the FIFO buffer. If the FIFO already contains the specified number of sweeps or more, there will be no waiting. The second parameter of the command specifies the wait timeout in ms. As a rule, this command is used in conjunction with the SYST:FIFO:SWE:COUN?, which allows evaluating whether the specified number of sweeps have accumulated in the buffer or whether a timeout has occurred. The SYST:FIFO:SWE:WAIT command reduces the load on the PC processor while waiting, compared to using only the SYST:FIFO:SWE:COUN? command in the polling cycle. Note: When using the VISA library, set the VISA timeout to be greater than the second <timeout> parameter. Note: Cobalt Series, S5180B, and S5243 models only. |
